A quantity with magnitude and direction.
Vector components depend on a basis and transform between frames while geometric magnitude is preserved by pure rotation.
Example [0.6, 0.8] m has magnitude 1.0 m in its declared frame.
Common misconception The same component pair does not describe the same direction in every coordinate frame.
