Structured log
Also: machine-readable log
A log whose named fields follow a consistent schema rather than only prose.
Timestamps, event names, units, IDs, state, and version permit filtering and correlation across subsystems.
Example Log {time_ms, old_state, event, new_state, voltage_V} for each transition.
Common misconception More log volume is not better when fields lack units, timing, or relevance.
