Current flowing out of an output pin into a load.
Per-pin and aggregate source limits, output voltage droop, package dissipation, and absolute maxima constrain operation.
Example A high GPIO sources current through an LED and resistor to ground.
Common misconception Absolute maximum current is a damage boundary, not a recommended normal drive rating.
