Duty cycle, frequency, load dynamics, switching loss, and filtering determine current ripple and delivered behavior.
Example 25% duty keeps an ideal switch on for one quarter of each period.
Common misconception PWM does not create a lower steady voltage at every instant or directly command motor torque regardless of load.
