Logic threshold
Also: input threshold
A voltage boundary used by a digital input to recognize low or high.
Datasheets specify guaranteed low and high ranges with an undefined region; thresholds can vary with supply and temperature.
Example A floating input may wander through the undefined region and change state.
Common misconception The switching point is not guaranteed to be exactly half the supply.
