An ISR should bound execution, acknowledge its source, avoid unsafe blocking, and coordinate shared state with appropriate atomicity.
Example A timer ISR increments a counter while main code processes accumulated ticks.
Common misconception Complex logging inside an ISR can increase latency and lose other events.
