Interface contract
Also: integration contract
A testable agreement describing what connected components provide and require.
It covers electrical, data, timing, units, frames, mechanical datums, startup, versioning, and fault response.
Example A sensor contract states volts, pinout, message schema, hertz, timeout, and invalid flag.
Common misconception A type signature alone is not a full cyber-physical interface contract.
