H-bridge
Also: full bridge
Four-switch circuit that can apply either voltage polarity to a load.
Switch states provide forward, reverse, coast, or brake behavior; dead time prevents same-leg shoot-through.
Example A motor driver reverses a brushed motor by changing which diagonal switch pair conducts.
Common misconception Arbitrary switch combinations are not safe; shoot-through can short the supply.
